From 14 October 2025 The new H1 import system comes into force, replacing the old DUA in all EU countries. This change is part of the CAU customs code with the aim of improving traceability, efficiency and security in import declarations.

What changes does the H1 system imply??

The DUA format will no longer be used as an official document, becoming only an informative document. The only legal document will be the H1 certificate.

The system H:

– Unifies the data in all EU countries since they work with the same CAU format.

– Changes in data structure. The checkbox model is stopped being used in the DUA and a structured data system is adopted.

– Faster management, secure and digitized reducing time and errors.

– Strengthens legal certainty and offers greater transparency by guaranteeing European regulatory compliance.
